On October 16, 2009 a combination of suitmation, live action, animatronics, and CGI, Where the Wild Things Are, starring Catherine Keener, Max Records, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose, Chris Cooper, is scheduled for the release in USA. Where The Wild Things Are is written by Dave Eggers and Spike Jonze, directed by Jonze and produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman. The movie is an adaptation of the Maurice Sendak’s 1963 classic children’s book of the same title.

The film is about the imaginary adventures of a young boy Max (Max Records), who is very angry with his mother, Connie (Catherine Keener), when she invites her boyfriend home. After Max causes several rebelling and mischievous antics in a row, he is sent to his room and left without supper.

He feels angry and and thinks that noone loves him, so he creates a forest which borders a massive ocean, and then ne sails away to an island, where 7 imaginary monsters live. He calls them the Wild Things and they crown him to be their ruler.

To bring this incredibly imaginative fantasy to life, Jonze leads a team of filmmakers incorporating the most dynamic elements of live-action puppetry, voice performance, and computer animation.
