On December 4, 2009 a comedy-drama film, Up in the Air, starring Vera Farmiga, George Clooney, and Anna Kendrick, is released in the United States theatres.

Up in the Air is directed by Jason Reitman, written by Walter Kirn (novel) and Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner (screenplay), and produced by Michael Beugg, Ted Griffin, Jeffrey Clifford, Daniel Dubiecki, Joe Medjuck, Tom Pollock, Ivan Reitman, Jason Reitman. The movie is distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Juno’s Jason Reitman heads into corporate America territory once again with this adaptation of Walter Kirn’s novel Up in the Air for Montecito Pictures.

The plot surrounds a human resource administrator (George Clooney) whose life up in the friendly skies becomes his only world as he works to reach his one-millionth frequent flyer mile. Jason Bateman and Vera Farmiga co-star in the Paramount Pictures production.
