On August 14, 2009 a dramatic fantasy film, The Time Traveler’s Wife, starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana is scheduled for release in the United States. The film is directed by Robert Schwentke and based on Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 best-selling novel “The Time Traveler’s Wife”.

Filming of the movie started in September 2007, and the original release date should be within autumn of 2008, but then the film’s release was moved without any explanation from the studio.

A Chicago librarian Henry (Eric Bana) suffers from a very rare genetic disease that sends him back and forth in time every time he experience extreme stress. He knows that he can disappear at any minute and for a unpredictable period of time, he tries to build a romantic relationship with an artist Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams),  and wants to build a stable with her.
