On February 19, 2010 a horror/thriller film, Shutter Island, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo (both play U.S. marshalls), Ben Kingsley (plays the head of the institution), Michelle Williams (plays Leonardo DiCaprio’s deceased wife), Patricia Clarkson, is released in the United States. Shutter Island is directed by Martin Scorsese. The plot of the movie is based on the 2003 Dennis Lehane’s novel of the same title. It is produced and distributed by Columbia Pictures and Paramount Pictures.

In 1954, two U.S. marshals (Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo) go to an isolated island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the disappearance (or escape) of a mentally ill patient from a hospital which was made specially for criminally insane people on an island in Massachusetts state.

They have to uncover a huge web of deception and soon they understand that they are deceived by the hospital’s chief administrator. Moreover a hurricane hits and after that ther happens an inmate riot inside the hospital. This traps them on the island where they have to find the truth and save their lives.
