On September 25, 2009 a horror film, Paranormal Activity, starring Katie Featherston, Micah Sloat, Michael Bayouth, is set for a limited release in USA. Paranormal Activity was directed and written by Oren Peli (an Israeli-born video game designer who had no formal film training).

The movie premiered at the Screamfest Film Festival in US on October 14, 2007. Paranormal Activity was shot in one week in 2006 with a $15,000 budget and a hand-held video camera.

The movie centers around a young couple who moves into what seems like a typical suburban ’starter’ tract house and are haunted by a demonic presence at their home. The peak of this presence is in the middle of the night, especially when they try to sleep.

The movie is presented through the cameras set up by the couple to capture such strange activity.
